13 September onwards, each Wednesday from 6.30 to 8.30pm - Buddhist Meditation and discussion. All welcome.
27 (29) September - TBC Padmasambhava Day Festival. Padmasambhava is a potent symbol of transformation, radical change and the union of opposites.
1 (4) November - TBC Sangha Day Festival - celebrate those who follow the teaching of the Buddha and an opportunity for Mitras to reaffirm their commitment to the Three Jewels.
Wednesday evenings 6.30-8.30 (it's OK to arrive late)
Buddhist Meditation - what to expect ... Mindfulness of Breathing and the Brahma Viharas or sublime abodes (loving kindness, compassion, sympathetic joy and equanimity) Meditations to aid concentration and develop positive mental states. Discussions and meditation. Personal stories and perhaps some chanting or puja to aid meditation. Walking meditation on the adjoining roof terrace in good weather too!
Suitable for beginners and experienced meditators.
All welcome. £8 suggested donation. If you can't afford it, please just come.
Parking ... From the roundabout (where the new bus station is) follow the yellow signs to access the supermarkets, round the bus station. We use Iceland £2 and Tesco, minimum £15 spend or Frodsham Street car park from 6pm £1.50

We need to be able to cover our costs so we ask for a minimum donation of £8. We meet at Chester Quaker Meeting House, Union Walk, (the shop called "Brighthouse" is on the corner of the road), Off Frodsham Street, Chester CH1 3LF. 6.30-8.30 pm with a tea break during the evening.
